Total Number of Partners at KPMG

KPMG, a global professional management firm, provides various services to its clients in the fields of:

  • Consulting
  • Audit
  • Accounting
  • Taxation

The company operates under multiple partners or principals. They bring new projects, hire aspiring talent, and, by doing so, grow the size and revenue of the firm.

The partners are usually current employees at KPMG who, after years of hard work and dedication, are offered this position. But not everyone is lucky!

Only a few will stand out from the crowd and get this chance.

Jon Holt, Chief Executive of KPMG in the UK, said: “I’m delighted to recognize the hard work and talent of our people through these promotions. The breadth of our expertise enables our firm to support our clients with their most complex challenges, which is more important than ever in the current economic and geopolitical climate.” (Source)

As of last year, KPMG has a total of 12,321 partners worldwide! (Source)

With the information I’ve dug up, I’ll break down the number of KPMG partners according to country, gender, age, and ethnicity below.

This is more than any other country or state. That’s a formidable team driving excellence across auditing, consulting, finance, and more! (Source)

Together, these partners provide top-notch financial advisory and tax services (Through their wealth of expertise, of course!)

Turkey

In Turkey, KPMG has a total of 1700 employees. Among these, 52 are working in the partner position, with Murat Aslan serving as senior partner. (Source)

Canada

KPMG also has a strong presence in Canada. It has 700 partners working there. (Source)

Australia

Australia represents a key market for KPMG! The company has over 600 partners in this region. (Source)

India

There’s nothing small in India, and KPMG is a leading service provider of business advisory there.

The total number of partners at KPMG India is around 12 to 14. Samer Chadda is the CEO. He is also a senior partner at the firm.

Indonesia

KPMG has 70 partners in Indonesia. Some of them have 25+ years of experience. They bring new clients to the firm and have a team of 700 professionals. (Source)

China

Like India, KPMG has a strong presence in East Asia, including China.

China is home to more than 42 KPMG Partners. Interestingly, nearly 50% of these partners are women.

Germany and Mexico

In Germany, KPMG is represented by over 20 partners. (Source)

Now, let’s go across the ocean to Mexico! Here, KPMG shines with an impressive 200 partners!

KPMG Partners By Gender

KPMG’s dedication to gender diversity among its partners is clearly evident across the globe. It has over 27% of female partners in its various offices worldwide. (Source)

I have also collected some statistics of different regions.

In the US, KPMG proudly has a strong representation of female partners. Here, over 23.5% of women partners are working in its different offices.

Not only that, but the firm continues to promote diversity in the Asia Pacific region. It has over 22% female partners. This seems reasonable evidence to suggest that KPMG really does proactively empower women in leadership roles in diverse cultures and markets.

When I expanded my research to EMA states, I learned that KPMG maintains a solid commitment to inclusivity. In these regions, the firm has over 15% female partners (astounding figures!) (Source)

KPMG Partners By Age

I could not find any stats on the number of partners at KPMG by age.

However, I did come to know that the typical age of KPMG partners is usually around 30 to 40 years.

The youngest partner at KPMG was Jamil Khatri, who was promoted to this position at the age of 28. He has recently stepped down from this position after 27 years of service. (Source)

The oldest partners at KPMG are mainly in their mid-50s or early 60s.

KPMG Partners By Race/Ethnicity

In the USA, where KPMG has a substantial partner base, I observed a demographic shift!

In the past, the majority of KPMG partners were caucasian. However, these figures fell below 85% for the first time last year. Now, it has over 10 percent Asian partners. (Well, 5% are from other backgrounds!) (Source)

While in the UK, approximately 14% of KPMG partners come from ethnic minority backgrounds, and only 2 of them are black! (Source)
